I wrote this letter just for you, as someone seeking help and relief. I expect that you are hoping that acupuncture will work for you, and are looking for the right acupuncturist to help you feel better. It’s been a long night, but I really need to write this down and to share this information with you. I’ve been helping people like you feel better and get more out of life for fifteen years with my acupuncture treatments. Here’s how acupuncture changed MY life
20 years ago, I was experiencing severe exhaustion, stress and physical ailments associated with my job and lifestyle. Normal “Western” style treatments were not working, and I knew I needed help. Based on recommendations from several family members, I sought treatment from an acupuncturist.
I didn’t know anything about acupuncture at the time, and I was skeptical, perhaps just like you as you read this. Yes, acupuncture worked for me. As a matter of fact, it worked so well that I had to learn more about it.
I didn’t wake up that morning thinking…“ I’m going to have a life changing experience today” but that’s what happened. Not only did my health begin to change that day, but my life direction changed as well.
I changed my vocation and spent many years studying and learning all I could about acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I am credentialed, licensed and certified and I continue to stay current in techniques and alternative therapies. I am also certified for cool laser facial and skin treatments. I studied Chinese Herbal medicine for two years in Stanford Ct. to round out my knowledge of Oriental medicine. I am NCCAOM certified and licensed and have been since starting my practice in 1995. NCCAOM is the largest and most respected national certification association in America.
“When Eastern Medicine and Western Science and Medicine Collide”
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in the Far East. More scientific evidence, and ideas behind its effectiveness for a number of conditions continues to be documented in the West. I just re-read a great column from the March 22, 2010 issue of The Wall Street Journal about acupuncture that provided some of the most current proof. Reading the article again truly inspired me to write this letter to you, to share information about the effectiveness and widespread use of acupuncture.
- The U.S. military is using Acupuncture in a complementary manner. The Navy, Air Force and Army doctors use acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal problems, as well as pain and stress. These treatments are taking place here in the states and in combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Treatment of musculoskeletal problems is effective with acupuncture. I have performed thousands of treatments for people for this type of injury, often coming from automobile or other accidents. I saw massive improvement in my patients regularly. - Acupuncture was demonstrated to help reduce headaches, including both tension and migraine types according to two 2009 reviews. How would it feel, to have that blinding flash of pain from migraines to be just a memory? I have helped many clients who suffer from migraine headaches. They often feel relief during the first treatment. If you suffer from migraines, I can share with you that my clients have headaches less frequently and the pain is less severe with my acupuncture treatments. After a period of treatment, the majority of my clients no longer have migraines.
- Acupuncture therapy reduced the pain from and helped improve mobility and function for people with arthritis of the knee as noted in a government study from 2004. What would you do with knees that were not as stiff and difficult to move? I bet you would feel like jumping for joy! I have clients who have wanted to throw away their walking canes after my treatments because they could move around so much more easily. If you suffer from any arthritic joint pain or reduced motion, I can help.
- Several major hospitals in the U.S. are using acupuncture to help reduce the nausea and fatigue often experienced due to chemotherapy according to data from 2008. I have heard many patients often seek this treatment themselves if their hospital don’t offer it.
- Acupuncture eased pain in sufferers of lower back pain (LBP). Be sure to read the testimonial from “Rich”. He is one of many clients I have helped find relief from debilitating lower back pain. There are countless other stories I could share on this subject as well.
- Acupuncture proved effective in seven clinical trials that were reviewed in 2008 for infertility. Acupuncture Fertility treatments are one of the most personally rewarding therapies I provide. - Acupuncture can treat multiple forms of addictions and with weight issues. I have helped many clients quit smoking, and have helped others with weight loss treatments.

- According to a 2007 survey from the government’s “National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine” 3.2 million Americans has acupuncture treatments in 2006. That’s a dramatic rise from the 2.1 million in 2001.
Sometimes science takes a long time to validate something that we know to be true through personal experience. Another million Americans already experienced that truth.
Acupuncture can help in many ways, but there are things it can’t do.
While it’s my heart’s desire to be able to help you, there are some things that acupuncture can’t do. It can’t set a broken leg, but it will help it heal faster. It can’t repair a defective organ, but acupuncture can help your body do what it can to heal itself. The practice of acupuncture helps your body be in balance with itself, by helping release blocked energy within your body and increases blood flow, to aid in healing. While I can help you with a great number of conditions, there are times when acupuncture may not be the most effective treatment for you. If I determine that to be the case, I will share that information with you.
How do you know if acupuncture is right for you?
While Western science and medicine continue to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as acupuncture and herbal therapy, there is one conclusion that cannot be mistaken. Professionally applied acupuncture treatments performed by a NCCAOM certified and licensed practitioner such as myself are safe, effective and don’t have the potentially harmful side effects of drugs.

You may have some questions. I thought I would share the most common questions I hear, along with my answers:
Does the treatment hurt?
No, the needles I use are disposable, hypo-allergenic and thinner than most human hair. There may be some initial warmth associated with the process, but I don’t have clients who state that a treatment is painful.
How long does a treatment take?
The actual treatments last about 20 to 30 minutes, but most of my clients almost fall asleep during them, so the time passes very quickly and they awake refreshed or just feel very relaxed after the treatment.
Do I have to disrobe for treatment?
Clients are never exposed in any way. For example, pant legs may be rolled up or shirts lifted just to the area needed for treatment. Gowns are provided if needed for coverage.
How long will my first appointment take?
Three distinct services are performed during the first visit, so it will take longer. I usually ask my clients to plan for about an hour and a half at most. I will perform a complete health history exam with you and we will talk about your conditions and health history. I will also conduct a physical examination, and then we will begin your first treatment so that you may begin to feel better quickly.
What methods of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, checks and major credit cards. Payment is due in full at time of service.
Do you offer an unlimited visit plan on a monthly basis?
Yes, and we can discuss this option.
Can you provide services at my office, home or other locations?
